   Good Neighbors: Empowering People, Transforming Communities

In 2007, 16 years since the establishment in 1991, Good Neighbors recognized

the need for a long-term vision appropriate for the organizations growth and

scale, and began designing the future in detail. As a leading organization for

child rights protection, Good Neighbors had achieved significant results, and

had also implemented global network and community development projects

around the world. Good Neighbors had also been awarded MDGs Award for its

efforts in achieving universal primary education over the world, as well as seeing

significant growing trend of child sponsorship, as well as increasing number of

child sponsorship in field countries.

In the following year, 2008, Vision 2020 was established as a major transition to

Global Good Neighbors. Based on Good Neighbors founding spirit and mission,

Vision 2020 set goals for 12 years to fulfill the requirements of a global NGO and

functioned as a milestone to cultivate GN staffs dream and capacity, and a guide

to prepare for the future. 12 years later, in 2020, Good Neighbors is on the verge

of achieving its goal of Global Good Neighbors, Communicating with the World,

Global Top 10 / Realization of Global Brand .


   Good Neighbors Child Protection Policy

This Policy is established on the principles stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of

the Child (CRC) and Good Neighbors Mission Statement, in order to assure the human

rights and dignity of the child and execute the specific child Protection practices.

? Child in this Policy refers to whom under the age of 18, according to the CRC; child

Protection indicates the responsibilities and activities to protect a child from any form of

abuse, exploitation and labor that may be harmful to the child.

? This Policy contains principles, criteria, and code of conduct that all executives, staff

members, and related people of Good Neighbors must conform to and consists of the

procedure for agreement of complying with them.

? All staff members and stakeholders related to the work of Good Neighbors should faithfully

comply to the responsibility and obligation stated in this Policy which is applied to all

activities and processes of Good Neighbors in order to uphold and promote the human

rights and dignity of the child.


   Good Neighbors International Code of Conduct

Introduction

1. This edition
This 1st edition of the Code of Conduct was agreed by GNI to be operative from 21, April 2011. (History and contents of further revision will be shown here.)

2. Objectives
The Code of Conduct clarifies the standards of behavior that are expected of all GNI staff members in the performance of their duties. It gives guidance in areas where staff needs to make personal and ethical decisions. The main objectives of this code are:

            2.1 to help the staff members understand GNIs ethical standards and act in accordance with the guidance
            2.2 to help the staff members serve the organization and local community with integrity and expertise
            2.3 to give clear guidance for staff members to actively communicate and cooperate with partnering organizations, related personnel, community members, and other colleagues with accountability in the course of their duty.
